Gary Neville expects his former club to make some signings this January.

Gary Neville reckons his former club will be active in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils have drawn three of their last four Premier League matches, with the 1-1 draw against Stoke at the Britannia being the most recent.

And with obvious concerns about the United defence, Sky Sports expert and former United Captain Neville expects Louis van Gaal to make some signings in this winter transfer window.

“It wouldn’t surprise me [to see United strengthen in January]," Neville told Sky Sports.

“I think that all the noise from Louis van Gaal and the club in the last few months is that the business isn’t finished, that they’ve not completed the rebuilding yet.

“When you look at defensive areas, midfield – I think that’s the main areas they would look at at this moment in time.

“I think they will strengthen in the transfer market if they can do business.”
