Liverpool captain Steve Gerrard has paid tribute to teammate Phillipe Coutinho, hoping that he stays with Liverpool for a long time to come.
Gerrard was speaking at the Liverpool's players' awards where he was also honoured for his 17 years as a Liverpool player.
He was honoured ahead of his move to LA Galaxy later this year.
"I'm bored of speaking about myself, so I want to pay tribute to Philippe tonight," he said, Liverpoolfc.com reported.
"I think this is his night. He's cleaned up tonight on all of the awards and deservedly so, it's an absolute privilege to share a dressing room with him.
"He's the next big thing, for me, I hope he stays here for a long time and he can help win us some more trophies."
The Brazilian was named Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year during Tuesday evening's event at the Echo Arena, and also picked up gongs for the Performance of the Year and Goal of the Year, the official website of Liverpool football club reported.
