Jose María Gutierrez, also known as Guti left Real Madrid's academy in the summer to become assistant coach at Besiktas, and he gave his opinion on his former side's current form.
The ex-Madrid player also revealed why he decided to leave the Los Blancos academy for a new challenge.
"I hope, that's what I want. I decided to leave Real Madrid's academy and go to Turkey for that reason," Guti said when asked about becoming a head coach, Marca reported.
"To keep developing to be able to take charge of a team as soon as possible.
"There is no rush, I am happy with the situation that I'm in.
"In football you never know, I'm not going to say that I'll stay but my priority now is to be here."
The former midfielder said of Real Madrid's current situation: "Of course you have to be patient with him (Julen Lopetegui), he's a great coach and proved that with Spain and he will prove it at Real Madrid.
"I don't know [about Real Madrid's poor form], the truth is I don't follow it much because our schedules clash.
"I see that things aren't going too well."
