Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin has hailed the Gunners after their wonderful performance at the Emirates stadium resulted in a three nil win over Dinamo Zagreb.
A brace from Alexis Sanchez, and Mesut Ozil's opener put Arsenal in a better position to qualify for the next round of Europe's elite competition with Bayern defeating Olympiakos by four goals to nothing.
"I think the team knew it was a very important day today and we had to turn up. Everyone did that," Bellerin said, reports arsenal.com. "Now we have to play for our lives, but this was an important test for us to be alive in the Champions League. The team responded very well."
Asked if Arsenal will be a threat in the UEFA Champions League if they can qualify, Bellerin said: "Yeah I think so. The team have shown it all through the season. There’s a lot of creativity, a lot of quality up front, and we’re defending very solidly. Games like this show what the potential of the team is and when we have all the players back [in addition to the team we have already], I think we’re going to be a team that’s going to be up there."
