Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey is hoping he will get a good reception when he arrives at Anfield with the Bolton Wanderers side.
The former England striker had a good spell at Liverpool where he spent four-and-a-half seasons before making a move to Birmingham City.
Bolton will be facing the Reds in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday and the 37-year-old who scored 60 goals in 223 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool following his £11m move from Leicester City in 1999 is keen to make the trip back to Liverpool.
“It’s a wonderful thing to go back. I’m 37, I’m not a young lad, so to go back and play at Anfield is a great thing,” Heskey told the FA’s website.
“It wasn’t long, a few months ago, when I was doing LFC TV so to actually be going back there and putting my boots on and playing against Liverpool is wonderful.
“I’ve thought about it, the fans were wonderful to me while I was there so I’ll hopefully get a good reception and play my heart out.”
