South Korea winger Heung-Min Son has reflected on the 2022/23 campaign on his official Instagram channel as he promised the Lilywhites’ fans that he “will recharge and come back next season with a better and stronger look.”
The north London club failed to secure a spot for next season’s European competitions, and Son was one of their stars who failed to replicate the form of previous seasons.
However, following his return to his home in South Korea, Son, who is the first Asian player to win the Premier League's Golden Boot, reflected on the rollercoaster season he had with Tottenham and lauded the club’s fans for their support.
"Just returned to Korea after finishing the season," Heung-min Son wrote. "Took time to come back and reflect on last season. It's a shame that I wasn't good enough, as a team, as well as the season I thought and expected.
"But I would like to say thank you to all the fans who have sent me so much support in this difficult season. Thank you very much to each and every one of the fans who have been supporting me day and night in Korea, who came to the stadium directly and online to support me this season.
"I promise you that I will recharge well as I was lacking and come back next season with a better and stronger look."
