"I'd be embarrassed to walk into training tomorrow and show my face to everyone; even the lady on the reception" declares the former Reds defender.
Jamie Carragher has blasted Raheem Sterling, telling him: Keep your mouth shut and get on with playing football.
The Liverpool and England starlet has hit the back pages again after telling Reds boss Brendan Rodgers he wants to leave Anfield.
The 20-year-old informed the Reds boss face to face before the 1-1 draw at Chelsea on May 10 that he wants out.
But Sterling has agreed to further discussions with club officials in the next few days as they try to make a last-ditch attempt to persuade him to stay.
However an angry Carragher hit out at the antics of the youngster and his agent, declaring "for a 20-year-old to be taking on Liverpool Football club angers me to the pit of my stomach."
"Raheem Sterling is a great kid," said Carragher, speaking on Monday Night Football. "He’s not some flash young kid. He’s not loud, he’s not in people’s faces. He loves his football.
"He needs to change his agent. That’s the one thing he needs to change.
"[But] for a 20-year-old kid to be taking on Liverpool football club, it angers me to the pit of my stomach.
"Raheem Sterling will obviously move on at some stage. Brendan Rodgers has said he won’t be leaving this summer but it looks like me that he’s trying to force the clubs hand."
Carragher's words come just days after outgoing Reds captain Steven Gerrard warned Sterling to stay at Anfield or risk destroying his career.
And while Carragher says Sterlings motives may be about challenging for trophies, he has told the 2014 European Golden Boy that he must go out and earn them.
"It might not be about money, it could be about winning trophies or reaching the Champions League. If it's about trophies Liverpool were close to last year, and had a chance at this year.
"He says its not about money, that maybe he wants to move back down to London and compete for trophies.
"Last season at Liverpool he was fantastic. Liverpool had a chance at a trophy this season. Where was Raheem Sterling?
"If you want trophies and big money they won't be given to you, you have to earn them.
"What did Liverpool win this year? Nothing.
"You’ve got to play well in big games. The semi-final against Aston Villa was the worst game I've seen in a semi-final or final [from a Liverpool team].
"You want to win trophies - the semi-final is the biggest game in the season for Liverpool and Raheem Sterling did nothing.
"If you want to win trophies you have to perform at the highest level.
"If you want to win trophies you have to deliver in the big games and he hasn't done that yet.
"Keep your mouth shut and get on with playing football. He’ll move on in years to come. Just keep your mouth shut."
And Carragher declared that Sterling should be "embarrassed" when he walks into training on Tuesday.
"I'd be embarrassed to walk into training tomorrow and show my face to everyone; even the lady on the reception."
