Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp is convinced Jurgen Klopp can get Liverpool back to form again if he is appointed as Brendan Rodgers' successor as expected.
The former Dortmund boss is a strong favourite to be next Liverpool manager and Redknapp is convinced the German can have a major impact at Anfield.
"I think he's the ideal person," Redknapp told Sky Sports. "He's worked a lot with young players at Dortmund and he has an enthusiasm in him.
"He seems the sort of guy who can get players working extremely hard and I think that's exactly what Liverpool need
"They haven't played badly at times, they've just had a couple of uncomfortable results. When you play at home, especially in a big stadium, you need the fans behind you.
"I've felt a couple of times at Anfield this season that the fans seemed a bit restless. Hopefully Klopp coming in will address that and I think the players will look forward to working with him too."
He added: "You've got to have a big personality and you've got to be able to handle pressure. You've got to accept there are going to be good times and bad.
"More than anything, the fans want to see a bit of passion. You want to see players at it and you want to see players enjoying their football.
"That's what he does, his Dortmund team played a very high-tempo style and some of the football they played was really good to watch - I think that's what Liverpool fans want to see."
