Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertoghen praised Nacer Chadli after the Belgian's recent impressive form.
The 25-year-old secured his seventh Barclays Premier League of the season in Spurs' 5-3 win over Jose Mourinho's Chelsea six days ago and also broke the deadlock in their FA Cup clash against the Clarets at Turf Moor on Monday.
However his teammate Vertoghen had nothing but praise for the Belgian forward who has scored 9 goals in total for the season.
“He’s a great player. Last year he had some injuries, he had some hamstring issues, and I think he worked hard during the summer to come back fit,” Vertonghen told Tottenham’s website.
“He’s an unbelievable player. I was so glad when he signed eventually because it took a while. But he’s a top player and I think his game against Chelsea was one of the best I’ve seen from him – and I’ve played [quite a few] games with him.
“I’m happy he can show the supporters and everyone else in Europe what he is capable of. I’m a big fan of his qualities.”
