The Blues manager Jose Mourinho has revealed he is “happy” with the impact Radamel Falcao has made in his side.
Following a torrid campaign at Old Trafford last term, the 29-year-old Colombian completed a season-long loan move from Ligue 1 side Monaco to Chelsea, and played his first game for the west London club in their pre-season win over European champions Barcelona in the International Champions Cup.
However, Mourinho says he is pleased with Falcao, who is keen on having a successful season at Stamford Bridge.
“I’m very happy with his first week. I like him a lot as a player" Mourinho said.
"The team play very well with a striker of his quality. He’s not just a guy that can score a goal, he can also contribute a lot to the quality of the game.
“I was waiting for his determination to work, to help the team and to understand the way we play football. For the moment we are happy.”
