Liverpool welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield this weekend.

Portugal international Diogo Jota cannot wait to play in front of the Liverpool fans at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds host Jota’s former side Wolves at Anfield this weekend, and the football authorities in England have confirmed that a total of 2,000 fans will be in attendance for the Premier League clash.

Jota sealed a move from Wolverhampton to Merseyside in the previous transfer window and has been a sensation for the champions, scoring a total of 9 goals in 15 appearances.

However, the 23-year-old is hoping to continue his blistering form in front of the home fans when Nuno Espírito Santo arrives with his boys at L4 on Sunday evening.

While speaking to Sky Sports, Jota said: "Football without fans is strange.

“Obviously when you play for a club like Liverpool that has one of the best atmospheres in the world, it just feels like something is missing.

"We have a lot of these conversations with the staff and even with the players [on] the things I am missing.

"Feeling the Anfield effect is the thing I'm looking forward [to] most."
