Atletico Madrid captain Koke has heaped praise on James Rodriguez, adding that the Real Madrid star would be welcomed at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The 28-year-old midfield ace has been constantly linked with a move away from Los Blancos, with Atleti and Napoli interested in the Colombia international's services.
According to the Daily Mail, James is likely to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu this season after the club lost Marco Asensio to an ACL injury.
Nevertheless, Rojiblancos star Koke has revealed that he would be delighted to see James - who spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich - join his side.
"He is a Madrid player," he told Cadena SER. "He is a great player and we don't know what will happen. If he comes, he is welcome and if not, I wish him luck in the team he is at."
On the signing of Joao Felix for a reported €126million – a club-record fee – from Benfica, Koke said of the 19-year-old: "He is a great footballer and you have to be patient, you have to keep working and you see good things.
"He gave two assists, scored and hopefully continues to this level. The boy is excited and you don't have to put pressure on him.
"Let him listen to his team-mates and coach."
