Frank Lampard asserts that he is not under pressure to sell Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Arrizabalaga, who joined Chelsea from LaLiga club Athletic Bilbao in 2018 for £71million, has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Edouard Mendy from Rennes.

The 26-year-old made his first appearance since October in the Blues' Champions League clash with Krasnodar on Tuesday evening.

Reports continued to suggest Chelsea's record signing goalkeeper Kepa could seek pastures new due to his lack of game time.

However, Lampard says the Chelsea board are yet to make any decision on the future of the former Athletic Bilbao shot-stopper.

When asked if he is under any pressure to move Kepa on, Lampard said ahead of their Champions League 1-1 draw with FC Krasnodar as Sky Sports quoted: “No, there’s no pressure. The pressure and I’m not saying this has been spoken about, is to win games.

"I have to do the right thing game by game of course. And Mendy has made himself a permanent fixture at this point. Because the pressure to win games means I pick people in form, goalkeeper, striker, winger, whoever.

“But at the same time with the game tomorrow it’s obviously an opportunity to give Edou a rest and Kepa a game; he’s been training well and he deserves it."
