Lee Sharpe backs Giggs for Man United job

Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe would like Ryan Giggs to become the next manager at Old Trafford. Louis van Gaal has come under immense scrutiny following below par performances by the Red Devils, and Sharpe thinks Giggs could be the perfect replacement for the Dutchman. "I'd like to see him have a go but it's another tough one," he told Sky Sports' Soccer AM.

"The man's a legend and to go in there and fail after six months to get the sack, it ruins his credibility a little bit. "But I do think he's got as good a chance as anybody of being a success at Old Trafford. He knows the club. He knows what it needs. I just hope he's get someone in around him who's a bit more experienced to help him out. I think he'd be great."
