Liverpool Left-back Andy Robertson heaped praise on Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez after their superb displays helped Liverpool return to winning form in the Premier League with a commanding victory over Bournemouth at Anfield.
Luis Díaz scored twice in quick succession in the first half, while Darwin Núñez added a third with a superb curling strike. Liverpool's dominance was evident after an early scare when Bournemouth's goal was disallowed for offside.
Federico Chiesa made a lively debut, nearly scoring, but hit the woodwork. Bournemouth struggled to respond and were denied by the crossbar late in the game. The win temporarily placed Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
Following the victory on Merseyside, Scotland full-back Andy Robertson told BBC Radio 5 Live: "Really happy. Obviously last week it was disappointing, but we managed to bounce back on Tuesday [against AC Milan] - it was about getting back on track in the league.
"Darwin [Nunez] has had to be patient. He has worked hard in training, trying to get better like we all have. He has waited for his chance and today he was excellent.
"Luis [Diaz] has started the season really well, delighted for those two. He [Nunez] was waiting for his chance and he took it today."
