Liverpool legend Phil Thompson praises Man Utd midfielder Daley Blind.

Daley Blind completed 96 per cent of his attempted passes last Sunday as Louis van Gaal sealed his first United win

“Daley Blind was absolutely fantastic,” Thompson told Sky Sports News.

“He didn’t get the credit that he should have done. He did what others haven’t done like Darren Fletcher, Tom Cleverley and even Michael Carrick. He passed the ball forward with pace.

“Some of the other players go square or to the centre-half. He was there all the time. It was his passing for me. The majority of the time it was forward. I think that was very important to the side.”
