Keita robbed Davy Propper to set up Mohamed Salah for the opener in the sixth minute.
Jurgen Klopp hailed Naby Keita after the midfielder produced a top-class performance in Liverpool's 3-1 Premier League win at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Keita assisted Mohamed Salah to open the scoring in the sixth minute after mounting pressure on the Brighton's Davy Propper on Wednesday.
And, the Guinea international also kick-started the move that led to Liverpool's second goal of the game as captain Jordan Henderson hit the target with a superb strike from 20 yards.
The 25-year-old has struggled to seal a spot in the Reds' starting line since joining Liverpool from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in 2018 as his career has been blighted by injuries and form.
However, Klopp has been pleased with how he has performed since the 2019-20 campaign restarted last month, adding that Keita 'is getting better and better'.
"He is getting better and better, step by step and game by game and that's really cool," Liverpool manager Klopp told the media when asked about Keita's display.
"I am really happy about that. Long may it continue, let me say it like this. When he and the boys stay fit then everything is fine with the quality they have, the way we play suits them.
"Tonight, being a player like Naby but winning these balls, as the coach I am I couldn't be happier about these kinds of goals. Everybody is involved in that and I am really grateful for seeing things like this."
