ALDRIDGE WANTS STRIKER SIGNED AT LIVERPOOL.
Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge is calling on the Reds to secure the services of a quality striker with the money they make from selling Raheem Sterling to Manchester City.
Brendan Rodgers' side are set to cash in on a £49m deal for the 20-year-old, who has been keen on a move away from the Merseyside club, and Aldridge is hoping Liverpool use the funds properly.
“Liverpool definitely have to go out and get the striker who is going to get the goals,” said Aldridge, as Sky Sports quoted.
"Don’t forget last year Liverpool’s strikers only scored eight goals between them, which was horrendous.”
Aldridge scored 64 goals during his time at Liverpool.
