Liverpool's Wataru Endo – I Want To Continue Winning Titles At Anfield

Eyes Set On Even More Silverware

Wataru Endo isn’t satisfied. Not yet. The Japanese midfielder, who played a crucial role in Liverpool’s 2024–25 Premier League title win, is already looking ahead, hungry for more. As Arne Slot’s side gear up for the new season, Endo is clear about one thing: last year’s triumph was just the beginning.

“When I came to Liverpool, I really wanted the Premier League title,” Endo said during a heartfelt chat on the Red Machine podcast. “This is why I play football.”

Winning Mentality Runs Deep

Endo’s journey at Anfield has been steeped in success so far. Since arriving from VfB Stuttgart in 2023, he’s already lifted the Carabao Cup and helped secure Liverpool’s record-equaling 20th league title.

Wataru Endo moved from VfB Stuttgart to Liverpool back in 2023.

Now, the 31-year-old midfielder believes the team has only scratched the surface of what they can achieve. “With the staff, the teammates, and of course the fans, I really feel like we can do something even bigger,” he shared. “I just want to keep winning titles with this group.”

Understanding The Club’s History

It wasn’t just another medal for Endo. He understood what lifting that 20th top-flight trophy meant to Liverpool and the rivalry with Manchester United.

“I knew that Liverpool had 19 titles and needed one more to equal Manchester United,” he explained. “To help achieve that… it meant a lot. I was so happy to celebrate with the fans, teammates, and everyone involved.”

Committed To Giving Everything

For Endo, success at Anfield isn’t just about trophies. It’s about effort, pride, and connection with the supporters. “The thing I can do for Liverpool is to give 100 per cent on the pitch,” he said. “That’s always my mindset, for the club and the fans.”

Looking Ahead With Purpose

Heading into the 2025–26 campaign, the No.3 is all-in. His message to supporters is simple but powerful: the journey isn’t over.

“I love Liverpool Football Club,” Endo said with pride. “We’ve won something every season since I came, and I want that to continue. I hope we keep sharing great moments together.”
