Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has said that his new boss Louis van Gaal has a few similarities like his former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Louis van Gaal was made David Moyes successor in the summer after the Red Devils finished last season's campaign in 7th position and the Dutchman signed a three-year contract, naming Giggs his assistant manager.
However, Ryan Giggs who has spent 27 years at Old Trafford believes Van Gaal's demands are similar to what Sir Alex Ferguson demanded when he was the Manchester United manager.
“He demands that in every training session,” Giggs told BBC Radio 5 live. “He wants the same intensity as if it was a game.
“There are a lot of similarities to Sir Alex. He sets standards and if you drop below them he is not happy.”
Giggs also hinted at furthhering his coaching career elsewhere if it wouldnt be at Manchester United.
He Added: “I’ve been at the club for so long that I’m familiar with the club, but if I want to further my coaching career or managing career and if it’s not at Manchester United then so be it but I’ll just have to wait and see.”
