Lucas Moura has told his Tottenham teammates what to do after Carabao Cup exit.

Lucas Moura has issued a rallying cry to his Spurs teammates, asking them to keep improve their performances.

Lucas Moura took the positives from Tottenham’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg on Wednesday night despite losing 1-0.

Antonio Conte’s Lilywhites were below par against the Blues in both the first and second leg as they lost 3-0 on aggregate.

In the first leg at Stamford Bridge last week, Kai Havertz’s strike and an own-goal from Ben Davies handed Chelsea a 2-0 advantage and in the second leg, Rudiger compounded Tottenham’s woes when his bundled header found the net in the 18th minute.

However, Brazil international Lucas was disappointed with how Spurs failed to secure a spot in the final of the League Cup and issued a rallying cry to his teammates, asking them to keep trying to improve.

“It was a hard game, but we knew it was going to be,” he said. “We played against a good team, they're very strong, but I think we can get some positive points from this second game, especially in the second half.

“We tried our best and we fought until the end, although we know that we need to improve in some aspects.

“But I think the spirit was good and that's the way we need to be – we need to keep trying, keep working hard. Everyone knows that we can improve, technically and in the last pass, and that’s what we will try to do.”
