Iheanacho says his side are improving.
Kelechi Iheanacho came off the bench to score the second goal in Manchester City's 3-0 win over Hull City on Boxing Day and after the triumph the Nigerian said the Citizens are "stepping up".
Yaya Toure broke the deadlock from the penalty spot before Iheanacho's close-range finish and Curtis Davies' own goal sealed three points for Pep Guardiola's team.
However, reflecting on the triumph at the KCOM Stadium, the super-sub Iheanacho told mancity.com: “The whole team played really well and at the end, we got the three points – that’s all we need.
“Hull is a very strong team – they have great, quality players. Coming on is what I wanted.
“We are getting our confidence back and going into the winning mentality. We are stepping up now; we are strong at the back and in the front, scoring goals and getting the points we need.
“The next games, we’ll be strong and get the win.”
