Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is hoping Arsene Wenger's Gunners can beat Manchester City on Sunday to increase the Reds’ chance of finishing in the top-four.

The Red Devils sealed a 1-0 win over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday to move one point behind neighbours City - who sit in fourth place.

Juan Mata scored the only goal of the game after finishing off Wayne Rooney's assist and Van Gaal hailed the triumph as he remains confident of securing a top-four finish.

"We did our job today. Fantastic, I think," Van Gaal said, as skysports.com reported.

"When you see the second half, we deserved to win. We're still in the race [for the top four]. Now we are dependent on Arsenal."
