Man Utd may turn to Barca's Yerry Mina if their bid for Maguire falters.

The Colombian had an impressive World Cup, but has failed to make his mark at the Nou Camp.

French outlet RMC Sport believe Mina could join United in the coming days - especially if Leicester dig their heels in and want a large fee for the England star.

United have said to have been in contact with Mina - even though Lyon have offered €30m for the 23-year-old.

Everton have also been linked with the defender but Colombia international legend Carlos Valderrama has urged Mina not to move to the Premier League and consider Galatasaray instead.

Speaking to Radio Caracol Valderrama said: “The Premier League is attractive but for me the Champions League is the most prestigious.

“I don’t think Yerry should join a mid-table team like Everton.

“Fatih Terim has a great record developing players, if it were me I would pick Galatasaray.”
