Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood was happy with his performance and headed goal against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Ex-United striker Danny Welbeck broke the deadlock in the first half but the hosts replied with two goals via Marcus Rashford in the 62th minute and Greenwood in the 83rd.

It was an important win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team as the battle to secure a Premier League top-four spot gets intensive.

While speaking to MUTV and BT Sport in his post-match interviews, the England international said: “It was very important. We played well, defended well, and obviously to get the winner means a lot to me.”

Greenwood's goal was his first in the Premier League since his half-strike against east London club West Ham United back in December.

“Obviously, it’s a confidence booster,” Mason asserted.

“I know I haven’t scored as many in the league but I scored a header tonight, something I’ve been working on for a long time behind the scenes but we’re all good with the win.”
