Manchester City and Puma have taken their partnership to blockbuster levels, locking in a staggering kit deal understood to be worth at least £1bn over the next decade. Yes, that’s billion, with a 'B'.
The Premier League giants have penned a fresh extension with the German sportswear brand that stretches to 2035, making it comfortably the most lucrative kit agreement in Premier League history.
City’s original tie-up with Puma kicked off in 2019 at around £65m-a-year, but with the club’s rise to global powerhouse status, on and off the pitch, that figure has been supercharged to a reported £100m-a-year, smashing the £90m Adidas deal Manchester United struck in 2023.
A Commercial Powerhouse With Silverware To Match
Since pairing with Puma, City haven’t solely filled their trophy cabinet with four Premier League titles and that famous 2023 Treble, they’ve also hit record-breaking kit sales worldwide.
In fact, according to the club’s latest financials (up to 30 June 2024), City posted a Premier League record revenue of £715m, with commercial income nudging up again to £344.7m.
City Football Group CEO Ferran Soriano summed it up, saying:
“We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons.”
Puma’s Perfect Fit For City’s Global Ambitions
It’s a partnership that’s clicked beyond the design studio. Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld called it “a great success both on and off the pitch,” adding that their collaboration has delivered trophies, standout products, and serious commercial wins.
And with the deal now locked in for another decade, don’t expect City or Puma to slow down anytime soon. This is more than a kit deal, it’s a statement of dominance in both football and business.
