Carrick missed United's defeat at Chelsea last Saturday with a calf strain but has an outside chance of featuring at Goodison Park.
Michael Carrick has an outside chance of being fit for Manchester United's trip to Everton this weekend.
Carrick missed United's 1-0 defeat at Chelsea last Saturday after picking up a calf strain in their 4-2 derby win over Manchester City.
But Carrick is understood to have made good progress and could be in contention for Louis van Gaal's side at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Daley Blind and Phil Jones, who also missed the Chelsea game, could also return to the United line-up, although Luke Shaw's impressive display at Stamford Bridge may see him keep the left-back slot ahead of the former.
United head to Merseyside sitting third in the table, eight points clear of Liverpool in fifth.
