Manchester United's Antony Returns to Training Amid Domestic Abuse Allegations

Manchester United have officially announced the return of Brazilian winger Antony to training, following recent allegations of domestic abuse made against him.

Antony has recently arrived back in the UK from Brazil and has agreed to cooperate with Greater Manchester Police regarding the allegations, which he firmly denies.

In an official statement, Manchester United, Antony's employer, have decided that he will resume training at Carrington and will remain available for selection while the police investigations are ongoing. However, the situation will be continuously monitored, pending further developments in the case.

A statement from the Red Devils read: “As Antony’s employer, Manchester United has decided that he will resume training at Carrington and be available for selection, while police inquiries proceed. This will be kept under review pending further developments in the case.”

It is worth noting that Antony did not participate in training on Friday and will not be considered for selection in Saturday's Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
