Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura has revealed why he decided to stay put at the French club, despite interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Red Devils have always had interest in Lucas, even before he moved from São Paulo to PSG, and he was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window but the 23-year-old decided to commit his future to the Ligue 1 Champions by extending his contract until 2019.
"I love being in Paris," Moura told France Football.
"I want to make history. I feel that I can win the Champions League with PSG. But it is not only the club, but also life in Paris which is fantastic. That's why I want to stay here long.
"At first, my family and I missed our friends. The Brazilians are very close to their families, even in difficult times. We are always happy to be together.
"Now everything is better because I live with my mother, my stepfather, my girlfriend. I cannot complain about anything. I live in the most beautiful city in the world.
"Moreover, I am doing something that I love: playing football.”
