Manchester United target Mats Hummels is ‘thinking’ about Old Trafford move, admits Dortmund boss Kl
Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Mats Hummels is good enough to play for Manchester United and is ‘thinking’ about a move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United a longterm admirers of the World Cup winner, with Louis van Gaal having pursued the 26-year-old since his arrival at Old Trafford last summer.
Speaking to German broadcaster DW Sport, Dortmund head coach Klopp admitted that their star man is considering his options.
"He's good enough for Manchester United. He's told me he's thinking things over,” Klopp told DW Sport.
"We're always looking around the market ourselves.
"That we want to keep Mats is beyond question,” he continued. “How that works out I don’t know.”
"There’s always a list of players who would be interesting in the event that you need them."
Hummels has admitted that he is interested in a playing outside the Bundesliga one day, and confirmed earlier this month that he will make a decision over his future in the coming weeks.
"It's going to be the same again this time," he told Sky, referring to the ‘gut feeling’ that convinced him to complete a permanent move from Bayern Munich to Dortmund back in 2008, following a loan spell.
