It has been announced this morning that Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic is undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed move to Italian Champions Juventus.
The Croatian is set to sign for Italian giants for a reported fee of around 25million euros on a four-year-deal.
A club statement said: "Mario Mandzukic is this morning undergoing a routine medical ahead of his proposed transfer to Juventus from Atletico Madrid.
"The 29-year-old forward will take his first tests at the city's Clinica Fornaca di Sessant, before completing the procedure at the Istituto di Medicina dello Sport medical centre."
The 29-year-old only joined Atletico from Bayern Munich last summer and his life in Spain got off to a fantastic start scoring 20 goals before February. From there things went downhill not scoring another goal and relationships with the Atletico coaching staff had completely broken down.
Juventus are looking to bolster their forward line as it looks more likely that star striker Carlos Tevez will be returning to boyhood club Boca Juniors in the summer.
Mandzukic would be Massimiliano Allegri’s third big signing of the summer with Palermo’s Paulo Dybala arriving for £28.16m and Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira arriving on a free transfer.
