Matic refuses to rule out Pogba leaving Man Utd.
Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic expects Paul Pogba to remain at Old Trafford but admits “anything is possible” in football.
Pogba’s future has been a subject of speculation all summer, with Real Madrid leading the race to secure the Frenchman’s signature.
Reports over the weekend in Spain suggest that Pogba – who said in June that “it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else” – is still keen to seal a move away from United this summer. But, Matic revealed they’ll be delighted if the 26-year-old stays.
“We will see what is going to happen,” Matic said. “He’s a Manchester United player and of course we will be happy if he stays.
“He is a great player and very important for the team. I don’t see that he’s going to leave. But in football anything is possible.”
