Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was delighted with his team's "fantastic performance" after the Lilywhites beat Arsenal 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Spurs' in-form striker hit the back of the net twice in the north London derby, to secure three points for the home-side. The win on the day saw Pochettino's team climb over Arsenal in the Premier League table.
Mesut Ozil gave the Gunners the lead in the 11th minute, after the German finished off a good counter attack. Tottenham fought hard and Kane turned up in the 55th minute, tapping in the equaliser and with four minutes to go, planted a classic striker’s header back across Ospina into the net.
“I jumped, I shouted, it was a special moment, a brilliant moment,” said the Spurs boss Pochettino when asked how he celebrated.
“It was a fantastic performance. I’m very pleased for the players and congratulate them for a fantastic game. I’m very happy for our supporters. It was a great atmosphere at White Hart Lane.”
The Argentine added that he told his players ‘continue doing what you are doing’, when he spoke to them at half-time.
“We said ‘keep going in the same way’ because we didn’t deserve to be 1-0 down,” he said. “It was a brilliant game and we fully deserved the victory.
“Our performance was great because in front of us was a tough team like Arsenal. It’s always a special game. We showed a special energy and it’s important to keep this feeling.
“We have to keep going, look forward and move onto the next game now.”
