Pochettino pleased with Spurs performance.
Harry Kane works hard for the team.
Harry Kane netted twice on Sunday as Tottenham sealed a win over Remi Garde's men to close the gap at the top of the Premier League table.
The Lilywhites bounced back to Winning ways by thrashing Aston Villa 2-0 at Villa Park and Mauricio Pochettino is convinced their triumph over Villa mounts more pressure on table toppers Leicester City - who play Newcastle on Monday night.
“It keeps the pressure on Leicester," the Argentine said. "It was very important to get the three points.
“We're in a good position in the table and I think we fully deserved the result. We showed the right energy and mentality.
"We are in the race and our supporters have the right to dream.”
Kane's brace moves him level on goals with Jamie Vardy who has 19 league goals and Pochettino praised the England international, saying he works hard.
He said: “He is a great player and I am very pleased for him.
“He doesn't only score, he works hard for the team – that's why he is a very special player.”
