Ghana International, Kudus, Vows To Light Up North London With Flair, Fight And Champions League Dreams
Mohammed Kudus is ready to bring the spark, and he’s not talking about nutmegs and stepovers. The Ghanaian forward, officially unveiled as a Tottenham Hotspur player on Friday, July 10, 2025, has his eyes set on giving fans “something to enjoy” every time he steps onto the pitch.
After impressing at West Ham and earlier with Ajax, Kudus now swaps claret for lilywhite, eager to make his mark under Ange Postecoglou's growing project in north London.
A Move With Meaning
“It feels great to be here, I’m very happy and can’t wait to start,” Kudus said after signing his long-term deal with Spurs as the club's official website reported. “I’m a very direct winger, strong, very good in taking players on and creating chances, so there is a lot of flair in my game.”
That flair isn’t about showing off. For Kudus, entertaining the fans is about more than highlight reels, it’s about giving people a reason to fall in love with football all over again.
“That’s what football is about – it’s putting a memory in the heads of the fans that they have when they go back home, and after the money they’ve spent to buy a ticket.”
Belief In The Boss
For Kudus, joining Spurs wasn’t solely about the badge, it was about the man behind the project. He sees Thomas Frank not only as a coach, but as a mentor who can elevate his game.
“One of the most important parts of why I came here is the project and how the manager sees it, and to develop under him,” he explained. “With the history of where he’s come from, I’ve seen the amount of talent he’s developed to become great players.”

It’s clear that Kudus is buying into the long-term vision, and he’s hungry to be a central figure in it.
Eyes On The Champions League
Kudus arrives with European pedigree, having already left his mark in the Champions League with Ajax. Now, with Spurs set to return to the competition in 2025/26, he’s itching for another shot at the elite stage.
“I know how big the club is, the history, and I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level in the Champions League,” he said. “It requires a lot of quality and focus throughout the whole game, so I’m hoping to use my individual ability to help the team go as far as we can.”
Team First, Always
Despite the individual brilliance that defines his game, Kudus is clear about where his priorities lie.
“I’m very team-orientated,” he stated. “My personal goals are around helping the team get as many points as we can, to be as high as we can in the Premier League, and perform really well and go as far as we can in the Champions League.”
