Morientes hails Pogba.

Morientes believes Pogba would be a good addition to Madrid.

Former Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes has heaped praise on Paul Pogba and says he can understand why Zinedine Zidane is keen to sign the Manchester United midfield ace.

Mino Raiola, the France international’s agent, revealed early in the week that his client is willing quit Old Trafford for a new challenge elsewhere, with Real Madrid and former team Juventus keeping tabs on his situation.

"I think he is a great player, but Real Madrid need to let some players leave before signing others," the Real legend told reporters as quoted. "There are many good players in the Real Madrid midfield but Pogba is one of the best there is.

"Zidane is pushing a lot to sign him. I think when a coach wants a player it is because he knows he is going to do good things, so if Pogba came he would be a good signing for Real Madrid."

Morientes won three Champions League medals during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
