Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho heaped praise on Harry Kane after the England international's display against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Spurs striker's brace and Gareth Bale's double helped the Lilywhites secure a 4-1 win over the Eagles as they closed the gap on fourth-placed Chelsea.
Kane's final goal of the match was created by Heung-min Son, meaning both players have now combined for 14 Premier League goals this season, breaking Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton's all-time competition record of 13 set in 1994-95 for Blackburn.
“Harry is up there with the best," Mourinho said. "I wouldn’t change him for anyone in this club because he means so much for us and is a fantastic player for us.
“This Gareth is an extra for us, he is a positive for us and this Gareth didn’t start the season and he’s fantastic for us in the past couple of months.
“It was a good week for us. Next week we have a crucial match in the Europa League and derby against Arsenal, nothing could be better for us than winning all nine points this week. We now just have to get as many points as we can and try to see what can happen.
“The players showed good confidence and good ambition. We have had lots of matches, it’s difficult so it can be difficult if you are tired. But we did well, we deserved, day off on Monday and then an important game on Thursday.”
