Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has ruled out a move for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale.
The Portuguese said ahead of the Super Cup final that he would "fight" for Bale if he was surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, challenging Zinedine Zidane to start the 28-year-old in his team for the match at the Philip II Arena in Skopje.
Eventually the Welsh forward started the tie on Tuesday that ended 2-1 to the European champions as Zidane made a big statement that the Welshman is still a big part of his plans at Real Madrid.
Speaking on BT Sport after the clash, Mourinho said: "I think clearly the club wants him, the manager wants him, and he wants the club.
"So for me, game over, even before it started, but game over clearly because I think now everybody knows he is going to stay."
