Tottenham Midfielder Nacer Chadli says he wants to be a better player and is targeting more goals after his brilliant performance against Swansea.
The 25-year-old scored the first goal at White Hart Lane within seven minutes but the Swans responded through Sung-Yueng Ki twelve minutes later and it ended 1-1 at half-time.
In the second half the Lilywhites then went to a 3-1 lead after Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend found the net in the 51st and 60th minute.
Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a late goal for Gary Monk's side but Spurs held on and secured maximum points on Wednesday night.
However, Belgium international Chadli who scored his 10th goal of the campaign in all competitions reflected on his performance after the tie.
“To play three days after losing a cup final isn’t easy but we bounced back with a win, a great win, we deserved it and everyone is happy, even though we had a bit of a scare at the end,” Nacer told Spurs TV.
“I have much better statistics than last season and I want to improve, I want to be a better player.
“I’ve played the last two games, played 90 minutes and I feel better and better every week and I think there is more to come.
“I want to score more than 10 goals and help the team to win games. I’m very happy to score and it’s a good feeling to win again. We had to win, we had to bounce back and we did that. That was most important.”
