Neymar scored the first and fourth goal as Brazil defeated Turkey 4-0 in an international friendly on Wednesday.
The two goals by Neymar became his 41st and 42nd goal for the Brazilian national team.
Neymar is also the fifth highest goal scorer for Brazil after Pele, Zico, Ronaldo, and Romario who have 77, 68, 62, and 55 respectively.
This two goals means he now needs 35 more goals to equal Pele’s record of 77 goals for the Brazilian national team.
With Neymar being only 22 years of age, it is hard not seeing him equaling Pele’s record and even surpassing it.
The only thing that can stop Neymar from equaling and surpassing Pele is if his role in the Brazilian team is changed from a goalscorer to a provider.
Pele should be scared if he doesn’t want his record to be broken because the boy Neymar is ready to fire all the time as he has shown anytime he is dressed in yellow and blue.
