Norwich City boss Alex Neil on Southampton game.

Norwich City boss Alex Neil reflected on his side's 1-0 over Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Alex Tettey scored a stunning goal, the only goal of the game to give the Canaries their second win in a row in the Premier League.

"The last couple of games have been really big for us, and we've risen to the challenge and managed to come away with six points," Neil told Norwich City TV after the game, canaries.co.uk reports.

"We looked a bit nervous towards the end, but I put that to just how important the three points were to the group. I'm really pleased, they put an enormous effort in.

"We've found a really good balance with our play in terms of posing a threat going forward and keeping cleansheets as well.

"What we've done is given ourselves a good advantage at the moment, but what we need to do is stamp that home. This next month will be crucial."

Norwich City face Manchester City next in the FA Cup.
