Paul Merson is backing Manchester United to bounce back from their recent disappointments and beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.
The Red Devils head to London looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of three successive defeats in the Premier League.
Louis van Gaal has seen his side slump to losses to Chelsea, Everton and West Bromwich Albion in recent weeks, but former Arsenal man Merson is expecting to see the Red Devils seal victory on Saturday to take a step closer to securing a spot in next season’s Champions League.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Merson said: “United have lost their last three in the Premier League without scoring, however, if you play against Palace, you really want to do so at Selhurst Park if I am being honest.
“They are not the same team when playing at home, and so I am going to go for Man United to bounce back from those recent defeats by winning this one 2-0.”
Despite their recent poor run of form United are still currently fourth in the Premier League table and four points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool heading into their final three games of the season.
The Red Devils confirmed a deal to sign winger Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven on Thursday afternoon.
