Marc Cucurella has reportedly handed a transfer request at Brighton amid links to Man City.
Pep Guardiola has decided not to be drawn on stories linking Brighton defender Marc Cucurella with a move to Manchester City.
According to reports in England last week, Brighton & Hove rejected a £30m bid from the Premier League champions for left-back Cucurella.
It is also believed the 24-year-old, who was voted Brighton's player of the season last term, has submitted a transfer request in his quest to move to the Etihad, however, when Guardiola was asked about his thoughts on the situation, he replied: "He's a Brighton player, I cannot say anything else."
Quizzed further on whether City are looking to strengthen their left-back position before the summer transfer window closes, the boss told reporters: "If it is possible, yes, if not we will stay with what we have. We have enough players. I never complain about the squad I have."
Pep on busy transfer window
Speaking on the busy transfer window which has seen players sign for City and some depart the club, Pep said: "Sometimes the transfer window dictates what you want to do.
"In the first season we arrived, we tried to loan players and couldn't sign anyone.
"This season, I don't know what happened, but in a few weeks it was already done, and there are 34 days of the window left.
"Sometimes you want to do things and it just depends on how good or bad we are, it depends on the situations, and these situations happened quicker than expected."
