Stoke 0-4 Tottenham.
Pochettino proud of Spurs win at the Britannia.
The Lilywhites scored four or more goals in a Premier League away game for only the 14th time in the competition's history.
Mauricio Pochettino hailed his players after Harry Kane and Dele Alli helped Tottenham seal a 4-0 win over Stoke City on Monday night as they closed the gap on Premier League leaders Leicester City to five points.
Pochettino's White and Blue Army were impressive and clinical against the Potters at the Britannia as Kane and Alli's strikes sealed three points on the night.
The Tottenham striker curled in a superb goal from edge of box to hand his side the lead in the 9th minute before Alli increased the lead in the 67th. Kane then scored the third before Alli fired the fourth with a sublime volley in the 82nd minute.
However, after the tie, Pochettino told Sky Sports: "It was a great game and I'm very pleased with the performance. We’re still fighting. Our dream is to fight and to put pressure on Leicester and the performance and the result was fantastic.
"Today I feel very proud. Stoke wanted to win the game and we showed personality and character. Maybe today is one of the performances that you feel most proud of because of the character to cope with the pressure.
"We showed hunger and passion. I have a squad of players who feel passion about the game. They deserve praise and credit for their season."
Tottenham have lost just one of their last 16 Premier League away matches (W9 D6 L1).
