Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino said he couldn’t hold his emotions on the touchline as he watched his side beat Everton 2-1 on Sunday.
Mirallas scored the opener in the 15th minute with a great strike but Martinez’s men weren’t able to score a second goal as Tottenham got into the game.
Christian Eriksen levelled the score six minutes later and Roberto Soldado scored his first goal of the season before half-time to seal the win for the hosts.
The victory over the Toffees pushed Pochettino's team to seventh place in the Premier League table and the Spurs boss was delighted with the win.
“Today I showed my emotion, I was happy because I know our players suffer a lot and our supporters too,” Pochettino said according to The Sport Review.
“It was a good chance to give this present of three points to our fans. It is important to enjoy this feeling with the team, he added.
“We need to keep this mentality and try to show the same in the next game.
“Always you need the time to set your philosophy but today we are very pleased with the three points.”
