Man Utd star rules himself out from the contention to win the 2018 Ballon d'Or award.
Paul Pogba says he does not deserve the Ballon d'Or but would like a Frenchman to win the accolade.
There are seven players from Didier Deschamp's Les Bleus - who won the World Cup in Russia this summer - in the 30-man shortlist for the award for the best player of the year.
"Whether it's Grizou (Griezmann), Kylian (Mbappe) or Raph' (Varane), they deserve it much more than me," the Manchester United midfielder told AFP.
"I can not designate one. But I hope with all my heart that this is one of the three.
"One of the four also because there is NG (Kante). That's all I hope for anyway, because there are many who deserve it. I do not put myself in."
Chelsea star N'Golo Kante and Spurs' Hugo Lloris are on the list, along with Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann and Real Madrid duo Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema.
