Chelsea captain John Terry was pleased with the 1-1 draw against PSG, after Edinson Cavani denied the Blues from a win at the Parc des Paris.
Branislav Ivanovic gave Mourinho's side the lead in the 36th minute, when John Terry and Gary combined to set up the Serbian defender to head home.
But in the second half, Laurent Blanc's team responded as Cavani got into pace in the 54th minute to head in the equaliser.
And, former England captain Terry thinks Chelsea are in a better position ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge.
Terry told ITV Sport: “Both teams were feeling each other in the first half, Thibaut Courtois pulled off some great saves and we go away with a happy draw.
"Last year we made it very difficult for ourselves but we are in a lot better position now.”
Terry also hailed Ivanovic who scored his third goal in six games.
“Branislav Ivanovic has been different class defensively this year and always has been, attacking he always poses a great threat," he added.
