PSG forward Kylian Mbappe will flourish at Real Madrid - Unai coach.

Updated: Sep 8, 2020

  • Mbappe continues to attract interest from elite clubs in Europe.

  • Emery coached the France international for a season at PSG in 2017-18.

The Ex-Monaco Mbappe star is heavily linked with a move to Madrid.

Former Arsenal and PSG boss Unai Emery has lauded Kylian Mbappe, saying the France international has the attributes to play for Spanish giants Real Madrid. Mbappe, 21, continues to be linked with Los Blancos despite his contract expiring in 2022, though, reports suggest the COVID-19 outbreak which has had a major financial impact on football will prevent the LaLiga giants from making a bid for the Frenchman in the next transfer window. "Of course he has the ability to mark an era in Madrid," Emery told AS. "Advise which league to play in? When I was in France, I love that he was there because I enjoyed it. When I went to England, I would have liked him to play in the Premier League.

More: Former England international reckons Mbappe is the wrong fit for Liverpool. "And if I return to Spain, I want him to be here." The Spaniard added: "Look, surely there will be things from PSG that fill you up and maybe some will not, and there may be Real Madrid.

"We are lucky to have and export the two best teams in the world, which are Real Madrid and Barcelona, and I would like them to continue having the best players in the world." Mbappe has won three Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain since moving to the Parc des Princes from Monaco and helped France win the World Cup in 2018. More: PSG ace Neymar will be heading nowhere this summer.
