Marquinhos: 'Neymar? We all hope he stays here'.
Marquinhos has urged his club and country teammate Neymar to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
Marquinhos would like to see Neymar commit his future to the Ligue 1 champions, adding he "knows what he has to do".
The world's most expensive player, who has damaged his ankle ligament, has been heavily linked with a return to LaLiga champions Barcelona in recent weeks. And his future at the Parc des Prices is now in doubt following comments from president Nasser Al-Khelaifi who said “nobody forced him to sign” for them two years ago.
However, Marquinhos hopes his compatriot stays at the French capital.
"A player of Neymar's calibre, the difference he makes... as a team-mate, friend and fan, I want him to stay at Paris Saint-Germain," the 25-year-old defender told reporters after his Brazil’s 0-0 draw with Venezuela in the Copa America.
"He knows what he has to do, our president also knows what he has to do. I do not know [about] the conversation they had."
