There is absolutely no doubt that the Chelsea players are growing in confidence after maintaining their position at the top of the Premier League table with a scintillating 3-0 win over Leicester City.

Antonio Rudiger opened the scoring with a glancing header in the 14th minute before midfielder N’Golo Kante doubled the lead with a cracking volley as Thomas Tuchel’s Blues held on to a comfortable lead into half-time.

And in the second half, it was the same story, with substitute Cristian Pulisic wrapping up the win with a close-range effort.

The win over the Foxes at the King Power was Chelsea’s first in the league in four years, and it showed the strength in depth the away side possesses.

However, Pulisic, who scored his first goal since his return from injury, acknowledged the “massive strength” Chelsea have.

'It's just good to be back playing with the team.'

‘It is a massive strength, we've seen that the whole season,’ Pulisic said as the club’s official website quoted.

‘One guy is out, the next guy steps up and we've continued to do that. We're looking really strong at the moment.

‘The busy period that comes up now, through the winter, we're going to need everyone.

‘For me, it's just good to be back playing with the team after quite a long time out. I'm happy I could come in and make an impact in this game and I'm ready to start my season. I’m gaining confidence and feeling much better now.’

Chelsea will now channel their attention to the Champions League in which they host Juventus on Tuesday night. And, Pulisic is confident they can give the Italians a good game at Stamford Bridge.

‘We have some confidence going into that,’ said Pulisic. ‘We had a tough match against them last time so we want to go and have a good result at home.’

Rudiger who broke the deadlock also gave his view on the win, saying: ‘I felt very confident going into this game and I promised my son that I will score. I helped the team have a good very good performance and it could have been even more.

‘I like to get myself on the scoresheet but I take as well the clean sheet because this is what makes me much happier. Overall we had a very good performance, we came straight out of the block strong and with a good mentality.’
